Welcome to the Cycling NZ 2025 Forsyth Barr Schools MTB Champs proudly hosted by the Nelson Mountain Bike Club (NMTBC)!
Taking place in the heart of Nelson, this exciting event will bring together over 600 riders from across New Zealand for four days of competition. Riders will showcase their skills in Enduro, Downhill, Cross Country, and the Cross Country Team Event, making it an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators.
This event is open to intermediate and secondary school aged students nationwide, and it’s an incredible opportunity to experience the world-class trails that make Nelson a mountain biking mecca. Mountain biking is a huge part of Nelson’s culture, with over 3,000 members in NMTBC and thousands more hitting the trails regularly. The event provides a platform to highlight our stunning trails and vibrant biking community.
● When: Unofficial Practice: 27th & 28th September. Racing 29th September – 2nd October
● Where: Central Nelson
● Who: Open to intermediate and secondary school aged students across New Zealand.
