Sunday 29 September – Top of the South Downhill Race – Broken Axe

Downhill is back in Nelson! Racing Broken Axe on 29 September, this one is not to be missed!
We have Sam Gale on board as the race director, and he has lined up some awesome sponsors for the event, with $250 prize money for first place in each category!
Categories are male and female, Under 15, Under 19, Open (19-29) and Masters (30+). Anyone in ‘Masters’ is welcome to enter the ‘Open’ category. E-bikes are welcome to enter any category however the bike needs to be turned off during the race run.
Each rider has to have at least 2 practice runs in the morning, then we will do a seeding run and race run in the afternoon.

Adult – $60

Each rider needs to do at least 2 practice runs in the morning; one seeding run and one race run in the afternoon. Aiming for prize giving at 3pm. All riders under 16 are required to have an adult available on site during the race (however 1 adult can be responsible for multiple kids). You may as well volunteer, you’ll get a better spot to watch the race!
