GRAVITY JUNIOR ENDURO fuelled by Mama Cod

The perfect event to encourage junior riders who want a taste of racing a major event but do not meet the age requirements. The aim is to try something new and have fun!

THE COURSE
Riders should be familiar with the course and feel confident in their ability to ride all stages
INTERMEDIATE:
Shuttle/Ride: Shuttle from Codgers event hub to Fireball Skid, then ride up Firball Climb (819m)
Stage 1 – Firball (2.9km long)
Shuttle/Ride : Shuttle from bottom of Firball to Fireball Skid, then ride up Firball Climb (819m)
Stage 2 – Koata Whetu to Middle Road (1.4km long)
Ride : Middle Road to Fireball Skid (1.4km)
Stage 3 – IV Line (1.2km) into Tu Meke (759m long)
ADVANCED:
Shuttle/Ride: Shuttle from Codgers event hub to Fireball Skid, then ride up Firball Climb (819m)
Stage 1 – Koata Marama (1.2km)
Ride: Up Fireball Road to Fireball Skid, then up Firball Climb
Stage 2 – Firball (2.9km long)

ENTRY DETAILS
Cost: $50
Your entry includes:
- Two shuttles
- A free t-shirt
- Post-race food and beverage.
Age Limit: Minimum age of 7 years and maximum age of 17 years as at 10 April 2022.
Equipment
Riders must have an approved mountain bike helmet. Gloves, knee pads and elbow pads are highly recommended.
Encouragement
Parents / caregivers are welcome to ride with their “juniors” for the Intermediate Category, and provide encouragement only. Parents / caregivers must follow the directions of the event staff and marshals, and will not be entitled to a timing chip.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals received by 5pm, 24 March will be refunded, less a $10 administration fee. Withdrawals after this will receive a 50% refund and still receive a t-shirt. Email us at info@nelsonmtb.club if you need to withdraw.
Transfer of entry
You are able to transfer your entry to another participant up until 1 April 2022. Go to the registration link and log in to do this. You will need the transferee’s email address.
Event Cancellation
The race will run rain or shine and the tracks can be altered in the unlikely event of extreme weather. In the incredibly unlikely event of having to cancel the race for a reason beyond our control, we will do our best to refund you, but 100% refund is not guaranteed.
COVID-19 Protection Framework Rules
Under the “traffic light” framework for COVID-19, the following will apply (subject to further guidelines from the Ministry of Health and MTBNZ):
Red :
- Masks must be worn by everyone in vehicles.
- Masks are not required outdoors
- There are no event limits
Green & Orange:
- There will be no limit on numbers or movements.
- Masks must be worn by everyone in vehicles.
