Gorge Enduro – 2027

The Wairoa Gorge is well known for its world class trails nestled in the mountains at the end of the Wairoa Gorge Valley. In January the Nelson Mountain Bike Club is excited to run The Gorge Enduro. After a few races with rain and snow we’re aiming for a summer event. Onsite camping available to make a weekend of it.
The Gorge Enduro is part of the New Zealand Enduro Series. Main race day will be on Sunday 31st January with optional practice days available in the lead up days.
Course Details:
To come – these will be released prior to the event so participants can get practice laps in.
Shuttles:
The event will include at least one shuttle.
Registration:
Register for the practice days and race entry via the (still to be added) registration link.
Optional practice days: Thursday 28th, Friday 29th & Saturday 30th January – $90 per day.
Race Day. Sunday 31st January – $130
Tee: $40 – Orders close 11th January
Accommodation: Free camping onsite on Thursday 28th- Sunday 31st. Why not stay and make a weekend of it!
Volunteer: We need a volunteer crew on the 31st January to make this event happen! It will be a fun day out on the trails watching some of NZ’s best riders in action. Limited accommodation before and after the event at Barry’s Bunkhouse. There is unlimited camping. Please register your interest here: Volunteer Registration
